Whats going on in first grade?
The count down is officially at 8 days!! The month of May is flying by! We will have a lot to accomplish during thses last few days however!
SUPERkids: We are starting and finishing unit 9 this week. We will take a spelling test on Thursday! This is a relatively short unit!
Math: We are spending this week perfecting our addition strategies! We will be talking about different ways to add and practice, practice, practice!
Social Studies: We finished unit 3 today! Our test will be on Thursday! Books went home today and studyguides will go home Tuesday.
Religion: This week we will be talking about the "Golden Rule" - loving our neighbors as ourselves!!
Homework for the week:
SUPERkids: worksheets 78, 79, and 80
Spelling: Write spelling words 3 times!
Reading: Books will go home on Tuesday, please read the story and send back to school on Wednesday!
Math: addition worksheets - making a ten, 2-digit addition, and fact families
Social Studies: goods vs. services worksheet, study for test
Reminders for the week:
** This was our last week for library! All library books need to be turned in by Friday! I will be sending home slips for overdue books, if you cannnot locate the book you will be charged a fee for that book and it will need to be paid before the end of the year!
** I know its the last weeks of school but please be sure to make sure the dress code is being followed!
** Gym is on Monday and Tuesday
**Field Day will be on Tuesday May 28th!!
** 8th grade graduation is on May 24th!
** Our last day of school will be May 31st!
